The uncontested re-elected leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, was asked by journalists this Monday if he felt disappointed after not receiving any messages or congratulations from sister parties around the world for his re-election. Berisha, after emphasizing once again that Saturday was a day of history, justified himself by saying that he was not one of those who sent congratulations himself, so the lack of them from right-wing and popular parties in Europe and the world, according to him, was reciprocity!

Daniela Maloku , ReportTv: And since we are on the subject of relations with neighbors, do you feel regretful, Mr. Berisha, that after you were reconfirmed as head of the Democratic Party on Saturday, you did not receive any public messages from the leaders of sister parties to congratulate you on your next mandate as head of the Democratic Party?*  

Sali Berisha: I think Saturday was one of the brightest days of democracy in Albania, which has remained only in the opposition. 

On Saturday, I have infinite gratitude for all those who responded after the endless aggressive propaganda of the state mafia, after the attempt to filter out the exponents of the criminal world from Edi Rama, after the attempts to confront in this race the political scoundrels who, after leaving the DP, have created other parties and are seeking to bring Edi Rama back. 

So, that was a historic day. 

Now as far as congratulations go, I've received congratulations from my friends, I expect congratulations, but to be honest, I can't say that I'm one of those who sends a lot of congratulations, so in this case there's a kind of reciprocity. /Alfapress.al
