The recount process for 4 districts, Celibashi provides details

The Head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, has announced that on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the process of recounting votes from the May 11 elections will begin in the districts of Tirana, Fier, Durrës and Elbasan.
In a Facebook post, Celibashi states that a total of 2,323 polling stations will be recounted, including 85 ballot boxes from abroad. The process will be carried out by 24 counting groups with a total of 63 administration employees, of which 48 are counters and 15 substitutes.
The recount will take place at 24 tables located at the “Farie Hoti” Sports Palace in Tirana, with the presence of authorized observers from the three complaining entities: the PD-ASHM Coalition, the Socialist Party and the Opportunity Party. The entire process will be broadcast live on the CEC’s social media, according to Celibashi.
The RENEWAL process begins tomorrow, June 17, 2025.
The decision of the Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) has set in motion the CEC and one of the most important post-voting electoral operations: the recount of ballot boxes. • 7,858,600 lek for the online registration and transmission system of results
• 8,480,000 lek for logistical infrastructure
• 4,775,450 lek for envelopes and supporting materials
