A young participant in the national protest being held in front of the Prime Minister's Office has delivered an emotional message from the podium, declaring that her generation has no intention of leaving the country, but rather to fight for the future of Albania.
In her speech, she said that for years she has heard pessimistic statements that Albania cannot change, but according to her, it is precisely the youth that will bring about the transformation of the country.
"I've been hearing for 18 years that Albania won't be built, but it will be built, because we, the young generation, will fight for it. We won't run away, but we will make Albania like the rest of the world," she said to the protesters.
The young woman also addressed Prime Minister Edi Rama, challenging him to confront the citizens in the square and listen closely to the voice of protest.
"Don't hold rallies across Albania, but come to the square if you are a man.
My mom and dad were forced to let me grow up with my grandparents to work, today I am protesting for them and my grandparents, for my peers. Together we will succeed. Rama in prison, Berisha in prison," she concluded.
