Demands/ The "Theth Assembly" convenes, men talk about the "confrontation" with the state: We have defended the towers with blood!

This Sunday, in the center of the village, near the Church, the residents of the tourist village of Theth gathered.

The men, who have been facing the forces of the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection and police officers for days now, held the "Thethi Assembly" today where they discussed what they will do next.

Concerned about the future of their guesthouses, they have demanded that the government stop the action and give them the opportunity to legalize their businesses, as part of the package for the development of mountain tourism. They are seeking more information and opportunities to participate in this initiative.

Zef Vladi, representative of Shala, said that he has called on the government to be more reasonable since all the buildings were built by residents with "sweat money".

 "I called on the government to stop the action because it is not reasonable. I called on them because they have made mistakes, they have seen with their own eyes that they were made, they should not have been allowed to be made. Those houses of ours have not been destroyed yet, but their day will come. These towers were built with sweat and blood, we have protected them with blood. It is not reasonable for either the state or anyone to come and enter our lands, centuries-old lands ," he said.

We recall that so far in the tourist village of Theth, around 70 illegal buildings have been demolished, and the demolitions continue. There have also been clashes between residents, police forces and IKMT inspectors.

Just two days ago, residents attacked IKMT's barracks with Molotov cocktails and tried to blow up a bridge in an attempt to hinder their work and stop the demolition of the hostels.
