Details from SPAK's investigations into Rama's "liaison officer", Ergys Agasin: BKH also seized the cell phones of his companions
One of the most talked about and "mysterious" people, having kept a low public profile, positioned very close to Prime Minister Edi Rama, the son of former socialist MP Bardhyl Agasi, seems to have come under the scrutiny of SPAK. Ergys Agasi was under the request of agents of the National Bureau of Investigation yesterday to search his office and apartment.
By order of SPAK, Ergys Agas, the man so much talked about for his connection with Prime Minister Rama, had his personal cell phone taken yesterday. But his companions were not spared either, as two of their phones were taken.
During the searches, Agasi himself accompanied the BKH agents. In a statement yesterday for CNA, he himself stated that he has nothing to hide and is very calm about the investigations.
"It is within the framework of another SPAK criminal proceeding," he told CNA journalists, acknowledging the BKH checks and revealing another detail that this check was carried out for SPAK's criminal proceeding for cigarette smuggling.
But meanwhile, while SPAK has not yet made any official announcement about the operation that took place yesterday, the main circles of Tirana are boiling with debates and discussions about this character, his connection with the prime minister, but also with criminal groups. Former prime minister Arben Ahmetaj, in a recent interview from the run, issued a strong statement, describing Agas as Prime Minister Rama's liaison with organized crime. On the other hand, it is learned that several arrest warrants for cases where Agas also appears, are being reviewed by the GJKKO and are expected to get the green light these days.
