They don't rip doors off anymore, here's the newest trend of "car thieves", how to prevent fraud

Gangs in Europe are constantly finding new ways to trick drivers and steal items, even the vehicles themselves, as the methods they use become increasingly clever.
Car thefts are a rapidly growing phenomenon in many European countries, and authorities are constantly warning drivers to be vigilant. Gang methods have spread and evolved; they are no longer limited to breaking into homes or simple violence.
One of the latest and most widespread tactics that has been recorded in several European countries is the placement of banknotes, usually 50 euros, on the windshields of cars.
The goal of this tactic is to attract the driver's attention, get them out of the vehicle to check what happened or to take the banknote, thus creating the ideal opportunity for an attack.
The driver's reaction in this case could prove fatal. While the driver is distracted, thieves can take valuables from inside the car or, in more extreme cases, get into the vehicle themselves and drive away within seconds with the car as loot.
As in other cases of driver distraction, here too, a few seconds are enough for the robbers to "strike" and leave before they are noticed.
Even if someone realizes that the banknotes are counterfeit, this is often not enough to prevent the event.
This practice has become widespread in countries like France, so much so that local police authorities have issued guidelines on how a person should act to avoid the most serious consequences in such an incident.
