Dense fog on the Burrel-Skuraj national road, great difficulties for drivers

Dense fog has covered the Burrel-Skuraj national road segment, creating great difficulties for drivers traveling on this axis. As a result of the fog, the field of vision is very limited, while the situation is aggravated by the lack of road signage in some parts of this segment.
This phenomenon is frequent especially during the winter and spring seasons, as the road passes near the Ulza lakes and the Shkopet Hydropower Plant, which favors the creation of dense fog.
In addition to the fog, drivers also face other problems on this road axis. The Burrel–Skuraj segment is damaged with numerous potholes and, according to residents and drivers, it seems to have been neglected by the relevant institutions after the construction of Arbri Road.
A large number of vehicles from the entire Dibra region, as well as vehicles coming from North Macedonia, travel on this road. The drivers say that the situation has become a media problem several times, but so far, according to them, only promises have been made.
They point out that many parts of the road lack side guards. A small deviation to avoid potholes can become very dangerous, as in some segments vehicles risk ending up in Lake Shkopet.
