Kosovo Government Spokesperson Clarifies Rašić's Statement on the 24 Hectares: Another Request Was Fulfilled for the Minister

Kosovo Government Spokesperson, Arlind Manjhuka, reacted after Minister Nenad Rashic said that "Kurti gave 24 hectares to the Deçan Monastery because of him."
Manjhuka said that Rashic confused this with Kurti's acceptance of his request for a visit by Patriarch Porfirije for Orthodox Christmas in 2023.
He said that Kurti has implemented the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the Deçan Monastery.
The issue of the 2016 Constitutional Court decision, setting it as a condition by the Council of Europe, throughout the membership process of the Republic of Kosovo in 2024, was clearly clarified in the meeting of the Government of Kosovo and in the press conference after it, at the time when that decision was made.
In April 2024, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, by a strong vote of 82%, with 131 in favor and 29 against, recommended to the Committee of Ministers to invite Kosovo to become a full member of the organization.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has implemented the judgment, already issued by the Constitutional Court in 2016, only in light of its membership in the Council of Europe and for nothing else.
As is known, following the decision, in March 2024, rapporteur Dora Bakoyannis distributed her report, where she confirmed that Kosovo, following the implementation of the Constitutional Court's judgment regarding the Deçan Monastery issue, has met all the prerequisites for membership and should be invited to become a full member of the Council of Europe, without additional prerequisites.
Since the first day at Kurti 2 in March 2021, Quint ambassadors and Minister Rashiq have demanded the implementation of the CJK verdict, but this only happened in the context of talks with the Council of Europe rapporteur, Bakoyannis, three years later, in March 2024.
What has confused Minister Nenad Rašić is the acceptance of his request for a visit from Patriarch Porfirije for Orthodox Christmas 2023, as you can see in the photo below.
