Today, the voting process is taking place in the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kosovo for citizens registered to vote abroad, within the framework of the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.

According to the Central Election Commission, voting will be organized in 30 diplomatic missions, namely in 17 embassies and 13 consulates located in 18 different countries around the world.

The process has started first in Turkey, where the Kosovo embassy in Ankara and the consulate in Istanbul have opened their doors to registered voters. Voting then continues in various European countries, including Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Austria and other countries where the Kosovar diaspora lives.

CEC spokesperson, Valmir Elezi, announced that 27,724 Kosovo citizens, who have registered in advance and have chosen physical voting at diplomatic missions, have the right to vote in diplomatic missions.

Meanwhile, the postal voting process for over 104,000 voters registered abroad also ends today. After the process is complete, all ballots collected at embassies, consulates and by mail will be transported to Kosovo, where they will be counted.

On June 7, the citizens of Kosovo will head to the ballot boxes to elect the new composition of the Assembly and the country's next government./Kosovapress
