Kosovo/ Igor Popovic arrested for making an offensive speech in Rahovec against the KLA. Police provide details

Kosovo Police have provided details regarding the arrest of Igor Popovic, assistant director of the so-called "Office for Kosovo" in the Serbian government, who on Friday, during a speech in the village of Hoqë e Madhe, described the KLA as a terrorist organization.
The police announce that with these statements, Popović is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Inciting discord and intolerance", reports Telegrafi.
"A Serbian citizen suspect was arrested at the Brnjak checkpoint because he is suspected of having described the Kosovo Liberation Army as a terrorist organization during a speech in the village of Hoqë e Madhe, comparing its actions to serious international events. With these actions, he is suspected of having committed the aforementioned criminal offense," the police announced.
The Police also announce that 2 mobile phones have been temporarily seized from the suspect as material evidence.
"By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody after being interviewed," the statement said.
The acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has also reacted after the statements of Serbian official Igor Popović, who during a speech in Rahovec described the Kosovo Liberation Army as a terrorist organization.
Svečla officially confirmed that Popović has been detained at the border crossing in Brnjak and measures are expected against him in accordance with the laws in force.
According to him, Popovic, who is assistant director of the so-called "Office for Kosovo" in Serbia - with his statements has incited hatred and interethnic division in the Republic of Kosovo.
