The State Prosecutor's Office has strongly condemned the threats made to the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, Petrit Kryeziu.
The reaction emphasizes that the threats against Kryeziu were made by a person suspected of several criminal offenses.
"These threats constitute a direct attack on the justice system and as such will receive the appropriate institutional response so that the person responsible is brought to justice as soon as possible and faces legal consequences," the reaction states.

Pristina, April 17, 2026 – The Office of the Chief State Prosecutor strongly condemns the threats against the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, Mr. Petrit Kryeziu, which come from a person suspected of several criminal offenses.
These threats constitute a direct attack on the justice system and as such will receive the appropriate institutional response so that the person responsible is brought to justice as soon as possible and faces the legal consequences.
Furthermore, any attempt to intimidate or obstruct state prosecutors in the exercise of their official duties in order to strengthen the rule of law is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
