"Xi agrees to open the Strait of Hormuz", Trump: I am considering lifting sanctions! I did not ask for any honor because...

US President Donald Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping had agreed that Tehran should reopen the Strait of Hormuz, although Beijing gave no sign it would intervene.
Returning from China's capital after two days of talks with Xi Jinping, Trump said he was considering whether to lift US sanctions on Chinese oil companies that buy Iranian oil.
China is the largest buyer of Iranian oil.
"I'm not asking for any honor because when you ask for honor, you have to give honor in return," Trump said when a reporter on Air Force One asked whether Xi had made a firm commitment to pressuring the Iranians to reopen the strait.
Xi did not comment on his discussions with Trump about Iran, although China's foreign ministry criticized the war, calling it a conflict "which should never have happened and has no reason to continue."
