Top Iranian general and his family members killed

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed the killing of Jamshid Eshaghi, a major general in the Iranian Armed Forces and advisor to the Chief of General Staff.

In a statement distributed by Iranian media, the IRGC announced that an attack killed Eshaghi along with several members of his family, but did not provide further details.

Earlier in the day, Iranian state media announced that the funeral ceremony for IRGC Navy Commander Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, who was also killed in an Israeli strike, will take place on Monday.
