Trump: Iran is not winning this war! Start talks before it's too late

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran wants to discuss reducing tensions with Israel and called on Iranian authorities to act quickly before it is too late.
"I would say that Iran is not winning this war and needs to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible," Trump said during a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
According to the Wall Street Journal and Reuters, Iran has sent an urgent message through intermediary Arab countries, expressing its willingness to stop military escalation and return to negotiations over its nuclear program – as long as the US does not become involved in the military conflict.
Diplomatic sources confirm that Tehran has asked Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman to urge Trump to pressure Israel to accept an immediate ceasefire. In exchange, Iran will show flexibility in talks with Washington.
On the other hand, Iranian officials have warned that if they do not see progress towards talks, they could accelerate their nuclear program and expand the scope of the war.
During his statements, Trump also criticized Russia's exclusion from the G8, calling it a "mistake," and said he would not be concerned about China's possible membership in the G7.
Regarding trade relations with Canada, Trump said: "A trade deal is possible, but it would take agreement from both sides."
