Temperatures in the United Arab Emirates reach nearly 50°C as heat wave sweeps across the country

The United Arab Emirates is facing an extreme heat wave, with temperatures nearing the 50°C mark.
According to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), the highest temperature recorded today was 49.3°C in the Bada Dafas area, Al Dhafrah region of Abu Dhabi, at around 2:00 PM, foreign media write.
Wind speeds range from 10 to 25 km/h to 35 km/h. Authorities are urging citizens to exercise extra caution while driving, as dust storms can appear unexpectedly.
Also, humidity levels are expected to reach up to 90 percent in some areas, creating a stifling and uncomfortable atmosphere.
