Torrential rain hits southeastern France, 3 dead

Three people have died in southeastern France due to torrential rain that hit the country.
Media reports indicate that among the victims is an elderly couple in their 80s. According to local authorities, the elderly couple died in the coastal town of Le Lavandou, while another person lost his life in the town of Vidauban.

Hailstorms and torrential rain also hit southwestern France the day before, flooding homes, damaging railway tracks and forcing the evacuation of hundreds of passengers on a high-speed TGV train in the middle of the night.
The train was forced to stop overnight near the town of Tonneins and more than 500 passengers were evacuated by bus.
