Orban hands over his post in parliament: I am needed for the reorganization of the national camp

Hungary's outgoing nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced he would hand over his seat in Parliament following the devastating defeat of his Fidesz-KDNP coalition after 16 years in power.
"Since the seat I won as the head of the ballot for the Fidesz-KDNP platform is actually a parliamentary seat for Fidesz, I have decided to hand it over. At this time, I do not need parliament, but the reorganization of the national camp," Orban said in a video message posted on Facebook.
His defeat was sealed on April 12, when Peter Magyar won the election, ending Orban's 16-year rule and marking a major political shift in Hungary.
