Saudi Arabia condemns Iran's attack on US base in Qatar: Unacceptable,

Saudi Arabia declares that it condemns at the highest level the aggression launched by Iran in the state of Qatar against the US military base.

"It is unacceptable and cannot be justified under any circumstances," the response said.

Iran earlier confirmed the attacks on the US military base in Qatar.

In a public statement, Iran says it targeted the US al Udeid air base in Qatar, following "open military aggression by the criminal regime of the United States of America."

In a statement released by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Tehran said it "will not leave any attack on territorial integrity, sovereignty and national security unanswered under any circumstances."

Earlier, the State of Qatar strongly condemned the attack by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard against the US Al-Udeid Air Base.

"We consider this a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, its airspace, international law and the Charter of the United Nations. We emphasize that Qatar reserves the right to respond directly and proportionately to the nature and scale of this aggression," Majed al-Ansari, spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, said in a post on X.

Qatar also announced today the closure of its airspace on Monday afternoon (23/6), as tensions in the Middle East remain high.

The closure of airspace over Qatar means that the airspace over the US base at Al Udeid is closed.

Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar hosts more than 10,000 US troops and is the largest US military base in the region.

According to Qatar's Foreign Ministry, the decision was taken to ensure the safety of residents and visitors, while the United Arab Emirates is said to be taking a similar step.

Recall that over the weekend the US attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran with missiles, with Tehran vowing revenge after the US involvement in Iran's conflict with Israel over nuclear weapons.
