A 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey at noon today.

According to the Natural Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD), the epicenter of the earthquake was in Chios (Gemlik) in the southeast of the Sea of ​​Marmara region, near the city of Bursa, at the same point where yesterday there were two earthquakes with magnitudes of 4.2 and 3.9 with a time difference of 70 minutes.

The focal depth of today's earthquake was 12.91 km.

The earthquake was also felt in Istanbul and its surrounding areas.

"We have to be vigilant, it is an area that is located on an active fault ," said Turkish seismologist Suleyman Pambal.
