The event that shocked Kosovo/ Naim Murseli held Liridona Ademaj by the arm so that she could be killed more easily

On November 29, it will be one year since the tragedy that shook all of Kosovo, the murder of Liridona Ademaj, 30 years old from Gjakova.
Liridona was a mother and wife who lost her life in a violent and treacherous act, a victim of a serious crime that has left behind deep pain for her family and all who knew her.
Two other people, Kushtrim Kokalla and Granit Plava, were also involved in the murder, which according to the prosecution file was ordered by her ex-husband, Naim Murseliu. In order to kill his wife, Naim is reported to have promised the henchman, Granit Plava, up to 30,000 euros.
Leonard Ademaj, Liridona's brother, in a touching story for 'Telegrafin', shared his and his family's painful experience, talking about his sister's last moments.
It is now 1 year since the murder of Liridona Ademaj. As a family, we are in constant contact with the Prosecutor's Office as far as they are able to find time for us, although we would have liked to meet more often.
The murder of Liridone is one of the most serious cases that has happened to our country, both in terms of the nature of the victim and the criminal and cunning actions of a man against a mother in front of their children. We understand that the Prosecution must prepare the indictment according to the law and in a professional manner, and for this there is still a deadline according to the law", he said.
He emphasized that the indictment and the maximum punishment of the perpetrators of the crime would be a relief for his family and for the whole society.
"The murder of Liridona Ademaj happened in complicity by being planned, finding the executioner, buying the weapon and together the three organizing and executing the murder of the wife of the co-principal Naim Murseli, according to his order in a very cunning way.
So, it has become completely clear that Naimi has asked Kushtrimi to help him kill Liridona by giving him support in planning and organizing the murder by finding a person he knows who can do this job. Kushtrimi had found Granit Plava as the right person", he emphasized.
He shared other painful details of the murder: "According to their planning, they had asked Granit to execute the plan, which on the critical night, according to the coordination, Granit Plava executes our sister, holding her tightly by Naimi's arm, in the car in the presence of two minor children.
It is unimaginable how my sister felt (betrayed and unprotected by the person who was supposed to protect her) at that moment when her car was slyly stopped, perhaps as a result of a robbery, and she was suddenly grabbed by the arm by her own husband. her. In addition to the absence until eternity that we will have, this is the thing that we as a family and the children are suffering the most".
Liridona's children are currently in the care of social authorities in Sweden, and, according to Leonard, they are very worried about the last moments they spent with their mother and the betrayal they suffered from their father.
"We are in constant contact with the children and thank the Swedish authorities for the care they are providing. The children are most worried about the fact that they were in the car and how their father squeezed their mother's arm at the critical moment so that the murder was carried out as easily as possible", he said.
Sakaq, Naim Murseli, the ex-husband of the victim, Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla, are still being held in custody in the High Security Prison, while the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina has announced that the incident is still under investigation.
"Regarding your questions, the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina informs you that the case is in the investigative procedure, at the moment we decide on the epilogue of the case, we will provide the necessary information", says their answer.
Lawyer Musa Damati has also stated about the delay in filing the indictment. The latter, in a statement to the Telegraph, stated that there is a lack of efficiency in handling such sensitive cases.
"I don't think such delays on the part of the prosecution body can be done because of the complexity of the investigations, but rather because of the lack of efficiency in handling such sensitive cases, which should be treated with priority.
Unlike the prosecutions of developed European countries or those in the USA, where the prosecutions are efficient and transparent, even organizing press conferences at different stages of the procedure, such an approach is not evident in Kosovo", he asserted.
Speaking about the treatment of sensitive cases, lawyer Damati said that after the proof of guilt, the accused can be sentenced to life imprisonment.
"Prosecution offices in such and sensitive cases, as in the case of Banjska and similar cases, must be characterized by efficiency, professionalism, but also transparency, while not harming the confidentiality of investigations at the same time.
The criminal sanction for such serious criminal offenses after the proof of guilt in the judicial procedure, can result in up to life imprisonment", said the lawyer.
The victim, Liridona Ademaj, left two sons. Naim Murseli was a well-known figure in Kosovo, for a while he worked as a political advisor to the chairman of the New Kosovo Alliance, Behgjet Pacolli.
