Not only the mother and father, but also other relatives of Mark Antony Samson are suspected of having helped the 23-year-old hide the body of Ilaria Sula, reports Corriere.
The investigation is now focused on the relationship of the ex-boyfriend of the 22-year-old Albanian woman, who, after being stabbed to death by the young man, was placed in a suitcase and her lifeless body was thrown off a cliff.
After Mark Samson's first lie that he acted alone while his parents were not home was debunked (his mother confessed to helping him clean up the blood, the investigation into his father remains open), investigators are working to unravel the crime committed, filled with mystery.
The key to solving Ilaria's murder, although it will take some time, is the content of the killer's phone, who had attempted to take his ex-girlfriend's computer (before killing her) and then disappeared Ilaria Sula's phone, after sending messages in her name, as well as making posts on the victim's social networks.
What was Samson trying so hard to hide?
One of the two friends Mark spent time with in the week after the 22-year-old student's murder said he had secretly followed Ilarian several times when their relationship was in crisis.
Is it possible that the murder was the result of a persecution that the girl had hidden even from her friends?
Other "technological" data relates to the observation of all the security cameras found along the route that Samson allegedly followed to go and dump the body of the Albanian student in the valley in the Capranica Prenestina area.
So far, only a few installed devices have recorded Mark's family's SUV in that area, with license plates registered twice, between 6 and 7 p.m. on March 26.
There are no security cameras around the perpetrator's home on Via Homs to aid the investigation and to have a more complete image of the Ford Puma, including who was inside the vehicle, which would be essential to determining who helped Mark.
Then there is the evidence collected during repeated checks at the murder scene in recent days.
In particular, traces of blood can reveal a lot and have been searched in other rooms, on clothes, furniture and have already been found on a pair of shoes. The distribution of these traces in the house may confirm the suspicion that the murderer's father was also in the apartment, at least for a fraction of the time, during the hours in which Ilaria was also there, alive or dead.
Finally, the autopsy. The forensic examination has so far only revealed the number of stab wounds to the girl's neck, which is 3, and has concluded that death occurred within a few minutes due to hemorrhage.
Ilaria had other wounds on her arms, a sign that she may have tried to defend herself. But a specific date for the exact time of the crime cannot be given, as a lot of time has passed since the body was found.
Ilaria had an empty stomach, as if she hadn't eaten dinner or breakfast yet. Narrowing the time frame of the murder would also be a key clue to the presence of possible accomplices.
