Easter Holiday/ Flux in Kapshtica, around 6500 people enter Albanian territory

Kapshtica is facing a high influx of incoming funds from Greece. According to the latest information, it is learned that the influx is caused by the Greek side, which is currently operating with 6 exit counters.

Meanwhile, the Albanian side has put 7 entry counters into operation to cope with the increasing influx. Many immigrants have set off towards Albania on the occasion of the Easter holiday, while for a few minutes the situation has worsened due to the large number of vehicles entering the country at this moment from the neighboring country.

Authorities have prepared a plan of measures to manage the increased flow, as tonight and tomorrow are expected to mark the peak of crossings at Kapshtica customs.

According to statistics from the border crossing point, it is reported that 6,489 citizens and 2,678 vehicles have entered Kapshtica since 12 noon today. Of the immigrants, 4,018 are Albanians, while 1,108 are foreign citizens.
