New details have emerged from the serious incident that occurred at 00:10 in Shkozë, Tirana, where police officer Anxhelo Kumaraku was injured after being shot with a firearm.
It is reported that Kumaraku was in the company of his neighbor, who was under house arrest at the time he was shot and injured.
It was also learned that several people have been declared wanted for the serious incident, among them are suspected to be the perpetrator and his accomplice.
At the scene, police found 7 shell casings, while investigators suspect that two firearms were used. The officer's weapon has been taken for forensic analysis.
Earlier, it was reported that the suspected target of this assassination was Officer Kumaraku's neighbor, Kedi Spaja, who was under house arrest for illegal possession of weapons, but who had broken this measure at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, the AMP has also launched investigations against Kumaraku in this case.
