Mark Zuckerberg announces the end of mobile phones, they will be replaced by a new device

The end of smartphones, which are now an essential part of everyday life, seems to be near. This prediction is made by Mark Zuckerberg. According to the CEO of “Meta”, they will be replaced in a few years by augmented reality glasses.

Zuckerberg introduced the new holographic glasses "Meta Quest 3S", with a starting price of $ 299.99 (more than 260 euros). This device, according to the entrepreneur, will mark the beginning of a new era in digital interaction, overcoming the current dependence on phones.

"Phones are small, distracting, and take you away from face-to-face interactions," Zuckerberg said, emphasizing that the new glasses offer a more natural, immersive, and connected experience to the real environment.

Unlike mobile phones that require constant focus on the screen, the “Meta Quest 3S” will enable users to interact with digital content visually and acoustically without losing touch with the real world.

Portability, direct connection to the internet and the ability to overlay virtual elements on the physical environment are some of the features that reinforce the vision of “Meta”. Although it may seem like a futuristic idea, Zuckerberg was clear about the deadlines: “Within 10 years, many people will no longer carry a phone with them, they will use glasses for everything”.

All of this would not only represent a change in the way people communicate, but also a profound transformation in the way information is accessed, content is absorbed, and social interaction takes place.

Glasses, by integrating functions currently performed by mobile phones, such as messaging, navigation, video calls and social networks, are positioned as an alternative that combines technological efficiency with more visual freedom.
