PSG attempt sensational move, target Argentine midfielder from Chelsea

Enzo Fernández's future at Chelsea is in doubt. According to surprise reports from European media, the Argentine midfielder is seriously considering leaving Stamford Bridge, just three years after his sensational £106m move in 2023.
According to L'Equipe, the 24-year-old is not expected to force a move during the January transfer window, but a summer transfer is seen as the most likely scenario.
Fernández is reported to have been negatively affected by the departure of Enzo Maresca on New Year's Day, a coach under whom he played a key role and often wore the captain's armband, due to injuries to Reece James.
Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race for his signature. The European champions are preparing a big bid to convince Chelsea, although in Paris Fernández would face strong competition from names such as Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz.
The Argentine is under contract with Chelsea until 2032 and has scored 24 goals in 145 appearances so far. He has won the Conference League and Club World Cup with Chelsea, while he has triumphed in the World Cup and Copa America with Argentina.
