Mario Balotelli: Football is a fake world, I don't envy Messi and Ronaldo for anything

Mario Balotelli will be one of the next guests on the show "Belve", hosted by Francesca Fagnani and broadcast on Tuesday, May 27 on "Rai 2". The Italian striker has spoken about his career, past and future.

"I could have done more, but I'm happy," he said honestly. Regarding the club he currently plays for, Genoa, Balotelli admitted: "Thanks to the fans who love me, but I made the wrong choice for the type of club."

Speaking about the future, "SuperMario" ruled out a return to Italian or European football: "It's difficult to play again in Italy or Europe. Do I have an idea for the future? Yes, America. I'll play for two or three more years and then I'll stop. It will be a physical trauma, but everything that revolves around football I won't miss. Football is a fake world, I have nothing to envy Messi or Ronaldo."

There was also no shortage of jokes about two great figures in world football. Regarding his former coach, José Mourinho, Balotelli said: "Mourinho and I were both stubborn, that's known. However, in terms of character, he is worse than me."

Among the most poignant moments of the interview was an episode with Francesco Totti: "I wrote to him: why did you hit me? And he replied: too bad I didn't hit you well."
