Drastic decision confirmed, club expelled from Conference League before draw

Drogheda United will not represent Ireland in the Conference League. The FA has made the drastic decision official, two days before the draw for the second qualifying round.

It was UEFA that made the decision, as Drogheda's owners also owned Silkeborg. The latter will also start in the second round of the Conference League where they are considered favorites.

The Irish club has reacted with disappointment by the CAS decision. Participating in Europe was considered a great achievement, and now things will change.

The draw for the first qualifying round, on the other hand, will take place tomorrow. Partizani, Vllaznia and Dinamo will meet their opponents in the Conference League.
