She became famous after the camera caught her in the stands, Greece wants to expel the girl from Kosovo

Marigona, the 24-year-old from Kosovo who became famous after the camera focused on her at the end of the Euroleague basketball game Olympiacos-Villeurban, which was played in Athens, has become a celebrity in Greece.
The beauty, who was born in Germany but lives in Athens with her partner, who is a well-known Greek businessman, has been invited to several morning and evening TV shows after her photos on the stand went viral and her Instagram account grew from 90 followers to 173 thousand.
Marigona has explained in interviews for the Greek media that she did not expect to become viral, while mentioning that she has also received offers for modeling and participation in television projects. At the same time, she confessed about her experience as a nurse in Germany, but also about the support she receives from her partner, with whom she already lives in Athens.
" It wasn't my plan to go viral, I was shocked, but it was really fantastic. I did not expect something like this to happen. I had several modeling offers, I studied nursing in Germany. In the past I have been offered other projects such as Survivor and The Bachelor. At first I was confused because I'm more of an introvert. After all that, I said to try and make my Instagram profile public ," she said.
As for her partner, she said: " My partner is from Thessaloniki. At first we stayed there and when we came to Athens for an Olympiacos match, we liked the city and decided to stay here. He supports me in everything, he is not jealous of me at all".
However, the charming girl from Kosovo turns out to have problems with the law, as she does not possess the necessary documents to live legally in the Greek state. Greek media reports that Marigona was arrested last December by the Livadia police for not having a residence permit and has since launched a legal battle to cancel her deportation.
On 29 December 2023, she was arrested during a random police check and the authorities in Livadhja decided to temporarily detain her until her deportation process was completed. But, due to the prolongation of these cases, she has been ordered to leave Greece voluntarily within a month.
Instead of leaving Greece, Marigona chose to wage a legal battle to overturn her deportation proceedings. She has declared to the Greek authorities that she has been living in the country since 2018 and has occasionally worked as a babysitter and in catering services.
She even mentioned the fact that Kosovo does not have consular authority in Greece, which makes it difficult to legalize its stay. However, the 24-year-old has tried to explain that she does not imagine her life away from Greece.
