Trump official: There is potential for a Kosovo-Serbia conflict, Trump should keep an eye on the region

The Balkans remain a fragile region in the face of major geopolitical changes. Fred Fleitz, former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump and Chief of Staff to the US National Security Council, acknowledged on “Off the Record” by Andrea Danglli on A2 CNN that there is potential for conflict between Kosovo and Serbia.

"I think there is potential for conflict, but with Grenell's leadership, a constant eye has been kept on the situation," he said.

"I believe it is in President Trump's interest to, together with Ambassador Grenell, keep an eye on the situation in this region. I know he is a very good friend of the Albanians, but you can speak directly to Ambassador Grenell on this issue."

Over the past year, Trump has stated several times that he managed to prevent a Kosovo-Serbia conflict, adding this to the list of wars he was able to stop, such as the one between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Pakistan and India, and others.
