"How do you explain that Sara Mila received 20 thousand votes in Elbasan"/ Blendi Klosi: The DP was not on the ground at all...

The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Blendi Klosi, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, spoke about the SP's landslide victory in the May 11 elections. 

Asked how he explains the "Sara Mila phenomenon", a young girl who received over 20,000 votes in Elbasan, ranking first, Klosi said that this has to do with individual campaigns and the lack of presence of the opponent on the ground. 

Ylli Rakipi : The opposition raises accusations that the elections were dictated by crime. As the most flagrant case, they cite Sara Milan, a candidate who received over 20 thousand votes in Elbasan and say that Suel Çela helped her. How do you explain Sara Milan as a phenomenon? 

Blendi Klosi : The race was like this, the open and closed list. In the closed list were the protected ones and in the open part, candidates who campaigned independently. Each candidate had their own ground. This debate was also held four years ago. In certain districts, the vote goes in one direction. Those who received many votes in 2021 may no longer have as many votes today. There was a certain moment in Elbasan, the candidate had her own support, her own wing, I don't believe there is any big change in the PS vote from 2021 to 2025 in Elbasan. In Dibër there was a little more. But in Elbasan the vote is the same. How is it divided into 7-8 candidates who were running... We in Elbasan got a 10-4 result because there was a difference in the race, it was a race where the DP did not exist on the ground. There was no one who thought that the opposition would accept defeat and reform. What has always happened with Berisha happened. Berisha's sentences were known, no one was surprised. This is the situation on the ground. Certain lobbies create a certain element.

Andi Tela : How is this possible? Sara Mila, an unknown character, for every 4 votes for the SP, she gets one. Gonxhe also got 24 thousand votes, but for every 10 votes for the SP she gets 1. Or in Dibër, for every two votes for the SP, the first person on the list gets one, she got 12 thousand votes.

Blendi Klosi : He received 15 thousand for that work. The terrain is like that, the lobbies are like that, the spirit varies from district to district. People's lobbies, the structure, the way the vote is divided is within the party, the strength of the individual, the spaces. In Elbasan and everywhere the vote of 2021 is equal to the vote of 2025.

Andi Tela : How is it possible for a completely unknown character?

Blendi Klosi : That race was. 4 years ago there were other people in the race. There was a different spirit, a completely different formula. The PS gets the votes and then as it divides, certain elements create certain lobbies. Those who got votes in 2021 are not in Parliament today.

Andi Tela : It doesn't make sense for an unknown person to get more votes than everyone else. What did she do more than everyone else? Who lobbied?

Blendi Klosi : There were party structures. The DP received 200,000 fewer votes, which is why they lost.
