Former Finance Minister Arben Malaj gave an interview to News 24 where he strongly criticized the way the Socialist Party has been transformed since 2005, when Edi Rama took over. Malaj described the wiretapping as a “serious disease for democracy” and also mentioned the McGonigal scandal, saying that Rama had taken the former head of Romania’s secret services without clear reasons.
