Spanish police have uncovered a tunnel equipped with rails and wagons that was used to transport large quantities of hashish between Morocco and Spain. The Spanish Interior Ministry said the police operation, which lasted more than a year, uncovered a labyrinthine mine whose network supplied cannabis resin throughout Spain and even Europe.

The media writes that 27 people were arrested in this context and more than 17 tons of drugs were seized. The entire structure was equipped with rails, wagons, rollers and small cranes for transporting pallets of hashish. The wave of arrests culminated in the arrest of one of the two leaders of the gang.

During the raids, 1.4 million euros in cash were seized, along with 17 luxury cars. Spain is an important entry point for drug trafficking into Europe due to its proximity to Morocco, one of the world's leading producers of cannabis.
