"The most corrupt government in the Balkans is in a conflict of interest

The chairman of the Democratic Party-Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Lulzim Basha, in a statement to the media in the courtyard of the Assembly, stated that the government of Edi Rama, the most corrupt in the Balkans, has made continuous efforts to hinder the work of SPAK. Basha emphasized that the supporting rhetoric for SPAK is only for show, as the actions of the government, including those of the prime minister, deputy prime minister, and ministers, are focused on obstructing justice structures.

One of them, according to him, is the blocking of Euro-Atlantic Democrats' proposals that would help strengthen SPAK. He also highlighted the massive support of citizens for SPAK, who demand an end to corruption and impunity.

" Of this government, which is under the anxiety of numerous corrupt affairs, that the wind takes away the words. That behind the words of alleged support for SPAK, the purposeful day-to-day, day-to-day, night-to-night activities of the country's prime minister, the country's deputy prime minister, the mayor of Tirana, ministers and former ministers of Edi Rama, to hinder at any cost and at any price the work of the Post Anti-Corruption Structure.

It is already clear from both Brussels and Washington that the government of Albania is the most corrupt government in the Balkans. Now that every report points to Edi Rama as the architect of a system where corruption has become the main bitcoin of relations between politics, oligarchy and organized crime, it is clear that SPAK, with all its commitment to the fight against corruption, is a vital threat not just for power but also for Edi Rama's confrontation with justice. But this can never be a reality in a country where the vast majority of Albanians, as shown in study after study, support SPAK because they want to end not only the corrupt affairs that have taken the breath of the economy, that have destroyed Albanian families, who have put the future of Albanian children at risk, but even though they want after 34 years of seemingly endless transition, to put an end to corruption and put an end to the affairs of the rulers and a pseudo-justice to protect instead of punishing the corrupt Albanians, creating a culture of impunity. That's why I want to say once again very clearly that the theater with the support of words is done to cover the truth, and the truth is, as the one-year blocking of our proposals to help SPAK shows, that Edi Rama and his government are in a collision course and inertia conflict with SPAK. There is no other reason why these amendments, in total opposition to any parliamentary practice, are not included in the agenda, are not taken to the laws committee, are not discussed. Because their discussion would expose them " - said Basha.
