Former DP MP Ervin Salianji addressed a message to Democrats and opposition supporters a few hours before the campaign for the May 11 elections opened, asking them to work hard for victory. From his cell in Fier prison, where he is serving a one-year sentence for making a false public report, Salianji encouraged DP supporters to participate en masse in the campaign launch.

"Come, I'm in the square too," Salianji wrote, emphasizing that even though he was physically absent from a DP campaign for the first time, he would be spiritually present in "Mother Teresa" Square.

DP supporters and parliamentary candidates appeared wearing T-shirts with the name of the former DP MP.

The Democratic Party and the opposition coalition "Alliance for a Greater Albania" officially opened the electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections of May 11 today at 19:00. Donald Trump's electoral strategist, Chris LaCivita, also participated in the opening of the campaign, who also took to the podium and gave a speech. LaCivita said that just like in the USA with Donald Trump, the socialists are trying to imprison the opposition in Albania.

LaCivita called for voting for the DP and Sal Berisha, according to him, to give hope and an opportunity to the country.
