PHOTO NEWS/ DP protest: More Range Rovers than protesters

Over 20 minutes have passed since the announced time for the DP protest in front of the prime minister's office, and so far the protesters have not started to take to the boulevard.

Meanwhile, at the DP headquarters, there are more luxury cars than militants from the DP structures. The cars appear to belong to leaders and VIPs of the leadership.

The next protest of the Democratic Party is expected to start on the boulevard in front of the Prime Minister's Office. Sali Berisha is still at the headquarters and will join the militants in the square.

No new developments are expected in the protest, except for the return of speeches. This decision was apparently taken by the leader of the Democratic Party, after the failure of protests with a tour around the capital. After several walking rallies, which produced nothing but chaos and road blockages, the Democratic Party has decided to bring back the podium for speeches in front of the prime minister's office.

The Tirana Police have taken measures to guarantee security during the 3 hours for which the DP has announced that it will hold the rally. The Tirana Blues have taken care to make a special appeal to the organizers of the protest, asking them to distance themselves from acts that violate order and security. 1500 officers have been deployed on the ground, as well as the Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita.
