"Berisha is making the last mistake of his career"/ Analyst Kikia: If it continues like this, after May 23, the DP will be even smaller!

Analyst Mentor Kikia has commented on the situation within the DP, emphasizing that the elections for party leader are more of a formality than a real competition. On the “Lunch Program” on News24, with Daljana Sejdia, Kikia said that “Berisha is making the last mistake of his political career, trying to keep the party under control.”

According to him, former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji should be allowed to run for party leader. Kikia said that after May 23, the DP risks being even smaller in numbers.

The analyst warned that an opposition party does not have the luxury of losing any votes, because any loss could lead to shrinkage.

Mentor Kikia : The elections within the party are a formality. Berisha is making the last mistake of his political career, to continue to keep his party in control. There are elections, but there is no competition. Those who claimed to compete either self-excluded or were excluded, one said this and another said that. A candidate cannot have the moral right to compete for party chairman when he has long been a pathological critic of his party, but the easiest way to exclude this person is the vote. Let Salianji compete, lose and leave. Why should an entire exclusion mechanism be set up, producing resentment and reactions within the party. An opposition party does not have the luxury of leaving even a single vote. This will produce a contraction of the DP. After the May elections, the part of the DP that will remain with Berisha will be more obedient, but smaller than the DP of a year ago.
