How it was built and by whom, the history of the mosque of Et'hem Bey

Et'hem Beu Mosque in Tirana is a monument with historical values, which in harmony with the Clock Tower form a monumental complex with values for our city, which are presented to every visitor who enters the city of Tirana.
The mosque was started to be built in 1794 by Mulla Bey.
The construction period lasted until 1821, which was completed by Mulla Bey's son, Et'hem Bey.
The interior consists of the prayer hall covered with a dome, the portico and the minaret.
Internal lighting is provided by 5 windows on each side, arranged in three rows.
There is only one port of entry on the north side.
At the end of construction in 1821, the interior and exterior of the Prayer Hall were painted. While the arcade was finished painting in 1823.
The mosque of Haxhi Et"hem Bey stands out and the unique style of the tower with the abundantly lit dome.
In general, its external appearance together with the minaret are very harmonious and well proportioned. For its values, the Mosque has been declared a cultural monument under the protection of the state.
The mosque was declared a cultural monument of the 1st category in 1948./ Alfapress.al
