Kosovo Elections! Vetevendosje Movement Declares Victory, But Will Need Coalition for Government

The Vetëvendosje Movement has declared victory in Kosovo's general parliamentary elections, which were held this Sunday, winning by a wide margin over the opposing parties. It is worth noting that the turnout was low, only 32% of voters.
With 96.8% of the votes counted, the Vetëvendosje Movement received 291,255 votes, or 43.03%. The Democratic Party of Kosovo came in second place, with 143,674 votes, or 21.24%, while the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) received 119,691 votes, or 17.70%.
Likewise, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) received 47,817 votes, while the Serb minority's Serbian List received 39,678 votes.
Following this result, LVV has officially declared victory, but to form a new government it must form a coalition with one of the other parties, as it does not reach the majority of 61 seats in the Kosovo Assembly.
Although seen as a victory, the Vetëvendosje Movement has suffered a decline in the number of votes, after winning over 49% of the votes in the last elections and managing to form the sole government.
The snap elections come after the failure to elect a president and several failed sessions in the Assembly. Recall that two years ago, the LVV failed to form a government for more than 9 months and the country went to the ballot boxes again in November.
