Constitution of the new legislature, the Assembly of Kosovo convenes today for the 28th attempt

The elected Assembly of Deputies in Kosovo will once again attempt to end the political impasse created by the failure to constitute the Assembly resulting from the February 9 elections, as they will convene today at 11 am for the 28th session.

In fact, it seems that this will be impossible since the Vetevendosje Movement, Guxo and Alternativa do not have enough votes to bring Albulena Haxhiu, proposed to lead the institution, to the podium for 4 years.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and NISMA are against the proposed name for Speaker of the Assembly. The Vetëvendosje Movement, Guxo and Alternativa have put Albulena Haxhiu on the ballot 6 times and in the absence of votes are demanding a secret ballot.

The parliamentary group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has sent the secret ballot method to the Constitutional Court for interpretation. In case of failure of today's session to constitute the new Assembly, then it will proceed with the continuation of the 29th after the 48th, on June 9th.
