Latest study/ Who lies more, men or women?
A recent study in the United Kingdom, which surveyed about 2,500 Britons, concluded that only 5% of them tell the truth. Although some may be considered white lies, they are still lies and are intentional by those who tell them.

Recent research has shown that men

on average, men lie three times more than women. The whole purpose of the study was to create an overview of who lies more, men or women. During a year, the average man tells more than a thousand lies, because women lie once a day, while men lie three times. The survey, which surveyed 2,500 adults, showed that only 5% of people tell the truth consistently.

More than half of men said they lie three times a day, while 14% of them manage to tell lies more than five times a day. On the other hand, 57% of women say they lie once a day, while 17% of them admit that they would lie up to three times a day if necessary.

Women lie the most about emotions, with more than a quarter of them routinely saying "I'm fine" even though they don't feel that way. Men, on the other hand, lie about doing something they should have done but didn't. Even 71% of those tested admitted to constantly lying to colleagues, friends and family members, justifying this with the need not to hurt other people's feelings, a third constantly lie to their boss and colleagues, and then to their family and partners.

41% of men admit to lying to their friends on a regular basis, compared to only 9% of women who do this with their friends. The guilt over lying is nearly three times more common in women than in men, with 62% of women reporting it compared to 23% of men.
