Left by Donald Trump, Elon Musk creates new party in the US. Here's what it will be called

After his rift with Donald Trump, Elon Musk is ready to found his own party: the "Party of America." The Tesla CEO announced this on "X" after deleting a post in which he accused the US president of being connected to the Epstein case.

On Friday, the head of the White House, in an interview with ABC News, declared: "He wants to talk to me, but I'm not interested. He's completely crazy."

According to the NYT, Trump said Musk's "crazy" behavior was due to drugs. The clash was sparked by the Tesla CEO's harsh criticism of the tycoon's spending and budget cuts.

Billionaire Elon Musk has publicly suggested the creation of a new political force in the United States, which would be called the "Party of America," following his clash with President Donald Trump, with whom he was a close associate until a week ago.

The idea was launched on Thursday, June 5, on X, the social media platform owned by Musk himself, where the South African billionaire published a survey among his 220 million followers asking whether it was “time to create a new political party in the United States that truly represents the 80 percent of the moderate population.”

Last night, June 6, Musk noted that 80 percent of voters had expressed a positive opinion, commenting: “It’s fate.” He later endorsed a user’s suggestion that the new movement be called “America’s Party,” a name similar to that of America Pac, the political action committee Musk founded last year that has raised $239 million for Trump and other Republican candidates in the 2024 election.
