US President Donald Trump welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to the White House.

During her speech, the Japanese Prime Minister said that 'the global economy could experience the biggest blow', while adding that security is very difficult, also due to the war in the Middle East.

Takaichi further added that "Iran's development of nuclear weapons should never be allowed. Japan condemns Iran's actions, such as attacking the neighboring region and also the de facto or effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz," she added.
