Trump attacks California governor again: Unable to protect state from protesters

United States President Donald Trump has returned to harsh criticism of California Governor Gavin Newsom, directly accusing him of failing to protect law enforcement and citizens from violence by groups of protesters and agitators.

In a social media post, Trump claimed that federal agents, whom he described as “great patriots,” were attacked by “an unruly mob of rioters and protesters,” and that, as he pointed out, the state’s governor failed to intervene in time to protect them. “The incompetent governor of California failed to provide timely protection when our workers were attacked,” the president wrote, ending with his famous slogan: “Make America Great Again.”
