Greece shakes! The 4.7-magnitude earthquake hits Patra, it is reported that...

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale shook Greece this afternoon (December 21).
The epicenter was reported to be in the area of Thermos, in Etoloakarnania of Patras.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter of the earthquake is located approximately 5 kilometers northwest of Thermos, while the focal depth is approximately 18 kilometers. The earthquake, which occurred shortly before 18:30 Greek time (17:30 Albanian time), was felt in many areas of Aitoloakarnania, Akai and Phocis.
"This is the Trichonida decay system. This area has a history of 4.5 to 5 magnitude earthquakes. It is not unusual for the area", says Athanasios Ganas, director of research at the Geodynamic Institute, for the Greek media .
According to EMSC, the epicenter of the earthquake was 38 km northwest of Patra. There are currently no reports of injuries.
