Girl who went to a stable to take care of her horse when she was 13 is found more than 3 decades later

A girl who disappeared without a trace 32 years ago in a small town in Arizona has been found alive, solving one of the oldest unsolved cases.
Christina Marie Plante, now 44, was identified by authorities this week, bringing to an end a case that had remained open for decades. She was last seen at the age of 13, on May 15, 1994, as she left her home in Star Valley to head to the horse stables. From that moment on, she “disappeared without a trace,” The Sun reports .
Her disappearance was classified as dangerous and suspicious, prompting a massive search operation by police, volunteers and the local community. However, for years no concrete leads were found and the case was considered a “cold case.”
The case was reopened by the Gila County Sheriff's Office, which through the use of modern technology and new investigative techniques achieved a decisive breakthrough.
After more than three decades, authorities confirmed that Plante had been found alive and her identity had been officially verified. For privacy and welfare reasons, further details about the case have not been released.
Authorities emphasize that they remain committed to solving other unsolved cases and call on citizens to contribute any possible information.
