With a bedroom, 11 bathrooms and 40 TVs... Inside the "flying royal palace" that Qatar gave to Donald Trump

Despite internal criticism and objections, the administration of US President Donald Trump appears to have agreed to accept a super-luxury Boeing 747-8 private jet, a gift from the royal family of Qatar. The plane, valued at around $400 million, is a “flying palace” with royal-style interiors, designed by the renowned French firm Alberto Pinto Cabinet.
This private jet includes a master bedroom, a guest room, two large bathrooms with showers, nine smaller bathrooms, five kitchenettes and a personal office. The decor includes large leather armchairs, more than 40 televisions (including 10 large screens), as well as gold-colored walls reminiscent of the style of Trump Tower in Manhattan, writes A2 CNN.
The plane, previously used by a division of Qatar Airways to transport royals and government officials, can carry around 90 passengers and 14 crew members. It has a range of around 12,450 kilometres and a top speed of 1,062 km/h, making it faster and more efficient than the current Air Force One.
Trump said on Truth Social that the plane would serve as a temporary replacement for Air Force One until the new presidential jets being built by Boeing are completed. However, the Boeing project has encountered major delays and budget overruns, pushing its completion back to 2027.
But even the luxury plane from Qatar will have to undergo a profound transformation to meet the security and communications requirements of a presidential plane. American defense company L3Harris has been selected to equip it with advanced technology for defense, satellite communications and nuclear wave protection in the event of war.
Despite being built over 10 years ago, this Boeing 747-8 is one of the most expensive and sophisticated aircraft in the world. It was renovated by Swiss company AMAC Aerospace over a two-year period, and features spacious lounges, a luxurious staircase connecting the two floors, internet, live radio and 13 Blu-ray players.
This new Air Force One will be the longest presidential plane ever, at 255 feet (76.3 meters) long. It's a combination of American technology and Arabian luxury, and it's now being returned to where it was made: the United States.
