Macron: France was not consulted on launching military offensive in the Middle East

French President Emmanuel Macron declared today that France is not involved in the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, responding to criticism from former US President Donald Trump regarding the ban on flights over French territory.
President Macron stressed that "France was not consulted on the launch of this military offensive and is therefore not participating in it."
According to him, "this stance is not new, but has been the same since the first day of the conflict."
"It is absolutely true that France, which was not consulted, is not part of this military offensive launched by the US and Israel and does not participate in it," Macron said.
"There should be no surprise about this stance, as France has made it clear from the beginning that it is not involved in military operations," he added.
President Macron's statements were made during an interview with Japanese television NHK, as part of his official visit to Tokyo.
