Iran withdraws from nuclear talks with the US!
Iran has officially announced its withdrawal from nuclear negotiations with the United States, a decision that comes amid escalating hostilities following large-scale Israeli military strikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities and Tehran's retaliatory drone attacks.
The talks, which have now collapsed, were aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, which had limited Iran's nuclear activity in exchange for sanctions relief - a deal from which the US withdrew in 2018 under the Donald Trump administration, writes 'news18'.
US President Donald Trump said Iran now has "maybe a second chance" to reach a nuclear deal, following Israel's extensive military strikes on Iranian nuclear and military targets.
In a post on the Truth Social platform, Donald Trump revealed that he had given Tehran a 60-day ultimatum two months ago to sit down at the negotiating table. He wrote: “They should have done it! Today is the 61st day. I told them what to do, but they couldn’t get there. Now they have, maybe, a second chance!”
The post comes just an hour after Donald Trump publicly urged Iran to make a deal, warning that further Israeli attacks could be "even more violent".
