Shooting at school in Austria! Death toll rises to 9, most of them students

Seven of the victims are suspected to be students. Austrian police said the shooting took place at BORG Dreierschützengasse, a high school in the northwest of the city, near the main central train station.

Graz is Austria's second largest city and is located about 200 km from the capital Vienna. The mayor of Graz confirmed earlier reports that the suspect was among the dead.

Mayor Elke Kahr confirmed this to the Austrian Press Agency. Police say there is no further danger following the school shooting. “The situation is safe. No further danger is expected,” police posted on X. “The school was evacuated and everyone was taken to a safe place.”
