Polish MEP Grzegorz Braun burns the European Union flag: This is Poland, not Brussels

The far-right Polish MEP, Grzegorz Braun , who is running for president of Poland in the upcoming elections, had his parliamentary immunity lifted.

During a visit to a state institution in Katowice, Poland, Braun noticed the European Union flag next to the Polish flag in the hallway. He approached the flag, removed it, and then demonstratively threw it on the floor.

“Such emblems are not subject to any legal protection on the territory of the Republic of Poland.

This is Poland, not Brussels,” Brown said.Then, to complete the deed, he doused the flag with gasoline and set it on fire in the institution’s courtyard.
